The cabin was nice

We arrived at dark, so from the picture on the internet, we didn't see the driveway. We were pulling an 8-10 foot trailor and it was almost impossible to get the trailor in the driveway due to the steepness and angle. We scratched the trailor up pretty badly getting it up the massive hill. The cabin was ok, just like being at home. It was better than a hotel but not as luxurious as I had anticipated.Another issue was the customer service. I booked the cabin on-line for a certain dollar amount. I had to pay 1/2 when booking and the other 1/2 when arriving. We went to the office to pay the other half and they demanded that we pay $100 more than what was offered on-line. Luckily, I had kept the receipt which I printed out at the time that I reserved the cabin that stated what I owed. If I hadn't kept the receipt, we would have been out $100 extra than expected. I wonder how many other people this has happened too. I think they are making a ton of money with this scam. The lady at the desk demanded that I bring my print out in. I did and she refunded my $100. I called and complained to the office manager when I got home and they did offer me a night stay for free which I have never used due to it being so far away.

Manager Response:

Thank you for staying with Cabins USA Gatlinburg. I apologize for the confusion at check in but we changed reservation systems in January and lost a lot of original information. I can assure you that this was no scam. I noticed that we did offer you a free night stay to compensate for the confusion.
