We stayed at C Byrd cottage which was perfect for two adult ladies and two babies. I loved Tybee Island because it hasn't been rebuilt and commercialized like so many beach communities. There are new houses and buildings but there are many that look like they might have in 1964. It was very nostalgic for me- The local restaurants and bars were truly local with neighborhood people patronizing them. I thought it was clever that you must walk to the beach- it certainly controls access and crowds. Very positive experience with our Mermaid cottage- it was exactly as advertised and there were no rude surprises. Cecille
