From the moment I found Mermaid Cottages online, everything about mybooking experience was second to none. Diane who was on vacation at thetime, didn't hesitate to return my calls and answer all of my questions. Shewas also kind enough to give me fabulous recommendations of places toeat on Tybee as well as activities taking place during New Year.Fish Camp Cottage was everything that was depicted on the website and somuch more. It is as adorable, quirky, charming and quaint as it looks like inthe photographs. Not a single item was left out. I wish we could haveenjoyed the garden more than we did but the weather did not permit us todo so....although we did suffer through the cold a couple of evening withour glass of wine just to watch my dogs running around and investigatingevery inch of the fenced in yard. I wouldn't change a thing about thecottage at all and it is also in a perfect location of the island...away from thehustle and bustle (not much while we were there, but I can imagine it beingquite busy during the summer months). Beautiful sunset walks by themarshes in the evening!!!One suggestion I would give would be to have a larger selection of dvd's,movies, etc. as there is no video store on the island and we had to go intoSavannah to rent a movie....other than that...perfection!!Tybee...what a charming little island and the people are so verygracious...the beaches spectacular...which is something seeing we're fromMiami. The Breakfast Club...unbelievably delicious and SundaeCafe...OMG...you must try the fried green tomatoes topped with crab meat -out of this world.We truly had a memorable time and can't wait to return.
