We love Mermaid Cottages! Our dogs love Mermaid Cottages!The beautiful surroundings, the charming cottages and the kind, personalservice made this one of the best vacations we have ever had.The Lemon Drop was light and airy with bookshelves that dreams are madeof. Our beagle, Judy, has never been so happy as she was racing up anddown the securely fenced yard on the soft cushy grass. The neighbors werepleasant, and we greatly enjoyed taking our rental bikes around the island.(We rented from both Tim's and Fat Tires - both great!) We really, reallymiss those gorgeous clawfoot tubs!When our stay at the Lemon Drop was over, we just were NOT ready toleave Tybee. Mermaid Cottages helped us transfer over to a new cottage,helping us find the one that suited our needs perfectly. (Bless you, patientpeople!) Who knew that the little C-Byrd could be such a delightfulhideaway? Indoors was a cool and comfortable retreat. Sitting on the cozypatio (also securely fenced), we could enjoy the music and laughter comingfrom Cousin Vinnies, just over the fence. (Their Bugsy pizza was DIVINE!)Both cottages were very clean, very comfortable and well-stocked - a realdelight to relax in. It was an easy walk to the beach and shops.We happened to be in town for the Pirate Fest. It rained cats and dogsduring the parade, but that just added to the fun. The weather during therest of our trip was perfect! On our last night, we discovered the SouthBeach and watched a sunset over Back River with dolphins playing wherethe river meets the sea.Perfect ending to a perfect week.We will definitely be returning - as soon as we possibly can!
