Sea Largo was the perfect cottage for my husband and me to spend a relaxing week with our furbabies. The cottage has charming décor (I love Blue Dog!), was clean as a pin and incredibly comfortable! The king size bed is as comfortable as our own, if not more so. The location was perfect too – on a quiet residential street close enough to the beach to walk, if you’re so inclined. The weather was gorgeous, so we were able to leave the door open most of the time for the dogs to come and go. They loved running in the yard, especially when John was in the hammock and I was on the screened porch. They alerted us every time someone was on the street walking or biking. :-/ Fortunately, no one was in residence on either side of us. We cooked several meals during our stay and were so pleased to find the kitchen well furnished with everything we needed. Loved the crushed ice from the door. I feared I might have to have big cubes haha! We picked up a few things from the IGA and bought the rest at the Kroger on Whitemarsh Island – wish our Kroger was as nice! The folks at Mermaid Cottages were gracious, accommodating and worked hard to make sure our stay was a pleasant one. The notebook with Tybee info was extremely helpful! And that suggestion about putting the key back in the lockbox as soon as you open the cottage? Yeah, do that. We didn’t and Diane had to send someone to let us in because John grabbed the laundry room key instead of the door key on our way out. Thanks so much Mary! We were sad to leave but we’ll be back. It was far too wonderful to be just a one-time fling. The night after we returned home, John said, “Let’s quit our jobs, sell everything and move to Tybee.” My response: “Ok!”
