We rented for 6 weeks and were delighted with this rental house that felt more like a home. It was even more spacious than the photos depicted, with spectacular windows overlooking the ocean.It would not be suitable for families with young children due to the koi pond in the garden but also the layout. The master bedroom suite (beautiful) is at one end of the house and the remaining bedrooms are almost 'adjoined' at the other end - with an external door. You would not be able to hear distressed children at night!We also found that August is not the best time of the year for the weather. The sea mist and overhanging cloud was most prevalent in the mornings and sometimes did not burn off in the afternoon. Yet inland it would be sunny.We rented cycles and thoroughly enjoyed our bike rides into Carmel and Pacific Grove.Fabulous location just overlooking 17 Mile Drive - what more could you want?
