We spent a great week in the Great Smoky Mountains and had a wonderful time. This isthe first time that we stayed in a cabin instead of a hotel -- and it was a fun experience. When we first arrived at the resort we were informed that there was no water in our cabin, but that maintenance was working on it and it should be on in a little bit. We got the keys and went out to the cabin to check it out. The cabin was cute and well kept, it looked just like the pictures! They even had the hot tub warmed up and running when we arrived! After a bit our water was turned back on. The resort itself was a little farther from town, but not too bad of a drive. It was nice to be able to walk out on the back porch and not see a single city light! The view during the day was BEAUTIUFL!I would reccommend however if you go in the winter time to bring some extra blankets as it gets VERY cold at night!! The only other issue was the smell of the water. If you have ever smelled sulfer or rotten eggs before, that's exactly what it smells like. Not the greatest to take showers in and wash clothes in, but there really is no other option. We did end up going into town to Walmart and getting some gallons of water to brush our teeth and to drink so no one got sick.Other than those two hiccups, I would reccommend a stay here to anyone. It was very cozy and quiet!
