








I have rented from Abbey Vacation Rentals in the past as this was our third time renting with Abbey. The view was beautiful;however, the unit needed to have a better cleaning person as the outside table was dirty. The windows on the inside were also dirty. I proceded to clean everything and vacuum to my specifications. I also began to decorate as I found some fake plants and proceded to make it more inviting for my family. Compared to Kolea and my other Unit - this unit needed to have been cleaned more thoroughly.Finally, several large bugs were discovered to my amazement in the morning as one was crawling on my daughters body!! We take cleaning of our units very seriously. When a guest enters a unit we expect the unit to be in a condition that meets if not exceeds their expectations. To that end, we are continually working to improve our service delivery in this regard. In our welcome calls to guests the morning after their arrival, we seek to make sure everything is okay. In the event there is a cleaning issue, we will have the cleaner address the issue immediately once notified. This is not a something a guest has to attend to.
Similarly, bugs are a reality of life in a tropical environment. To this end, all of our Vista Waikoloa units are treated quarterly for pests. In the event of a pest sighting, we will have the situation addressed immediately.
Checking the reservation record for this July 2007 stay, there are no notes of ever having been contacted by this guest on either of these issues. Had we known of these problems, we would have directly and quickly corrected them.
